What can I do for New Year’s this year?
How to celebrate New Year’s during COVID
It isn’t much of a hot take to say that 2020 was a difficult year overall. Everything has changed, even down to how we celebrate holidays. If you are struggling to think of how you can celebrate the new year, keep reading and we have some ideas for you.
Host a themed zoom party
No one said the New Year can’t be a party. Have a zoom party with a theme! You can go with the classic roaring ‘20s theme or get creative and go as your favorite fictional character. No matter what, everyone will be happy to see each other and you all can countdown into the new year.
Reflect on the past year and make predictions for the new
No matter your age or whether you have kids, it is always good to reflect on the year. Talk about what were some of the hardships you overcame and tell everyone what you are grateful for. Think about what you want to see happen in 2021 and make some predictions.
Grab some take-out from a local restaurant
Many restaurants are making dinners special for the New Year. This is a great way to support a local business and take some stress out of cooking for the New Year. Many places provide their holiday menu on Facebook or their website, or you can give your favorite place to eat a call and they’ll let you know.
